The Kazakh-German University (DKU) is pleased to invite all to the next DKU Talks with Dr. Jan Niklas Rolf on «Border cases between Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands». The presentation will be followed by a film and a discussion with the participants.
Dr. Jan Niklas Rolf is a post-doctoral researcher at Rhine-Waal University. He was born in Viersen and studied Political Science and Economics at RWTH Aachen University and International Relations at the University of London. He completed his PhD on the social contract theories of Thomas Hobbes and John Rawls. His research interests include International Political Theory, Development Policy and Security Studies. He works at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences since April 2015.
Summary
The presentation will look at the meaning and impact of international borders with a focus on the border triangle of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. After a general introduction, a self-produced documentary film will be shown.
The presentation will be in English.
